Separate roles before products
List the teams and the workwear each role requires. Workshop staff, outdoor crews and receiving teams may need different garment combinations. Ask the responsible workplace person to identify any protective requirements before selecting clothing. A broad industrial label does not establish that a product suits every hazard or task.
Choose the garment arrangement
Conti suits, industrial overalls, work jackets and work trousers are different order structures. Check whether each listing is a complete set or a separate piece. Record the exact product reference to avoid comparing a two-piece suit with a single garment. Where separate sizes are needed, confirm that the proposed supply arrangement supports them.
Compare supplied specifications
Read the fabric, construction and feature details for each product. Do not assume that similar colours indicate the same material or protective properties. Reflective workwear should be checked against the organisation’s visibility requirement. Any certification or performance claim needs evidence tied to the actual product, rather than a general statement about the catalogue.
Review fit and branding
Use the manufacturer’s sizing guidance and a sample where available. Confirm the proposed logo method and placement against the garment construction and intended function. A branding proof should not obscure reflective elements or replace technical approval. Keep the product decision and artwork approval identifiable in the order record.
Make the procurement record reusable
Retain the accepted product reference, quantities, size allocation and care instructions. Future work trousers or work jackets can then be compared with an existing requirement. Recheck current availability, price and specifications before a repeat order, especially if a substitute supplier or model is offered.
